In July, 1776 during the American Revolution, the Continental Congress declared independence from the holds of Great Britain by unanimously writing, editing and approving the
Declaration of Independence.
Happy Birthday America!!!

Hoping everyone has a Safe & Happy 4th of July!!!

Two years later, also during the American Revolution, George Rogers Clark, his militia and 60 non-militant civilians settled on an island in the Ohio River they called "Corn Island".
In later years, the settlement moved to the shores of the Ohio River
and became known as what today is Louisville, Kentucky.
