Thanks to all who came out and helped us kick off the Halloween season with
the Louisville Ghostwalk Tour
with our host, Robert Parker (pictured here with us above).
Only two more meetups (October & November) and one more event (the Belle Cruise) left for us in 2013,
we will be taking December off for the holidays and return again in 2014.
Hope to see ya before then.

While attending the 2013 Old West Fest Steampunk Weekend in Ohio this past Sunday,
I entered my Victorian era Mobile Phone in the Inventors Contraption Contest
and won Best of Show.
Best Oddity - Dr. Robert
Best of Show - Sam Sprocket
Best Weapon - Mr. Tesla

The Victorian era Mobile Phone was invented by Professor J. Phineas Bullock (only because someone had written their name, Bullock, on the straps in permanent marker when I purchased them from Goodwill) in 1878 and has the canvas backpack straps for mobility, the antenna for reception...it's a mobile phone. It operates off of Aether crystals but the good Professor was off traveling in time and I had no way of contacting him to find out just how to charge the crystals so that I could demonstrate just how it works.
......and the rest is history.
