Thanks to all who came out to our first meetup of the new year,

2014 looks to be a busy, fun year ahead.

Our new place to meet is wonderful and they seem to really enjoy having us.

Great Fellowship....Great Food!!!

*** Good News ***

Our prayers have been answered.  

Since the fire took out our meeting place at Sam's Food & Spirits, I am happy to say we have found a new home with plenty of parking, a private room to meet, awesome affordable food dishes similar to what we were use to at Sam's and is close to I-65.

With that, we will meet the 3rd SUNDAY from now on 

and I have booked a reservation for this Sunday, the 19th 

for our official January Meet

where we will kick off 2014 at 

the Fireside Bar & Grill

in Sellersburg, Indiana.

Sam's Food & Spirits, New Albany, Indiana - the social gathering place of

the Corn Island Steampunk Society

suffered from a major fire last night around midnight.

Please keep Sam and his employees in your thoughts and prayers

during this difficult time during the holidays

and let's hope for some kind of recovery.

They always welcomed us there with open arms.

It was also nice to work it alongside

Dr. Robert and his Traveling Odditorium

of gizmos and gadgets.

It seemed as though we were well recieved

and I was surprised at just how many attendees actually knew what Steampunk was/is.
